NEW DELHI: The country is gearing up for the first edition of the Khelo India School Games (KISG), an initiative of the sports ministry which encourages mass participation and excellence in sports among youngsters. ALSO READ: Khelo India anthem scores double century, crosses 200 million The sports ministry has released a teaser for the inaugural edition scheduled for 16 venues around the capital from January 31 to February 8, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be seen talking of the importance of sports in a person's development and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore encouraging India's youth to come and participate in the first KISG.
